The NSF GRFP is requiring early submission of letters of recommendation this year. They must be submitted by October 11th, although student applications are not due until October 15 – 18. Letter writers should have received an email from NSF with instructions on how to submit. Faculty with any questions may email Betty at madige@rpi.edu.

Professor Dorit Nevo shows how a literature review is a document or section of a document that collects key sources on a topic and discusses those sources in conversation with each other. Literature reviews come in many forms. They can be part of a research paper, for example as part of the Introduction section or they can be one chapter of a doctoral dissertation. Seating is limited. Will Fahey shows how conflict management uses processes, tools, and skills to find creative and respectful ways to manage disagreements and disputes. It includes the ability to resolve conflict collaboratively through effective communication skills, such as active listening and assertive speaking. Seating is limited.
