Regeneron seeking nominees for Annual Prize for Creative Innovation

Regeneron seeks to award creativity and innovation in the biomedical sciences with an unrestricted check for $50,000 and an invitation to present an original project at Regeneron’s Tarrytown headquarters. In addition, up to 10 finalists will also receive a $5,000 award and may receive an invitation to present their projects as well.

Candidates will propose a “Dream Project,” an original idea that is not a continuation or extension of their own or their principle investigator’s current research. (Projects may not be an incremental advance from their lab’s work.) The project should be feasible, presuming access to all required resources, but is not expected to be completed. Proposals must be in biomedicine, but applicants are encouraged from a wide range of disciplines.

Applicants must be endorsed by Rensselaer.  We have been invited to nominate 2 PhD students and 2 Post-Doctoral candidates. Interested students/post-docs should contact this office (madige@rpi.edu) for instructions to submit for the internal selection process. Applications will be due to OGE by February 15th.
